When Words Find Their Own Way Home

You know that feeling when someone takes your words and makes them completely their own? That's exactly what happened this past weekend at Blok Party's marketplace.

I was there with our booth, watching people discover our postcards, when one of the musicians from the incredible all-girl band Whizz stopped by. She picked up our "tomorrow you'll remember, that today was real after all" card and well, it was the one she liked.

But here's the beautiful part – her interpretation was completely different from mine. Where I saw one thing, she saw living life to the fullest every day. And she was absolutely right, because that's exactly what these therapeutic encouragement cards are meant to do. They're not mine anymore the moment you hold them.

This is why our words could find their home in unique stationary shops like Bungu Los Angeles, Measure Twice Brooklyn, and The Analog Stationer – places that understand how inspirational quotes and motivational words can provide comfort in ways we never expected.

Every day, so many things are up for interpretation. We don't decide what our words mean, and yet they have incredible power because the moment they're shared, they're amplified and take on a different life. These unique quotes on life become yours, and the friend you send them to.

Your words mean to me, the most we mean to be. We say this, because ultimately, these cards aren't about what I intended – they're about what you need them to say.

What will tomorrow remember about your today?
